After an hour and a half of trying to take a warm bath this morning, I gave up. This will be the third day. Because there is no water here between the hours of 10:00pm and 7:00am my time to bathe is limited. Today however I could not get more than a few seconds of warm water. Instead I doused myself with Bath and Body Works and hope that tonight there will be warm water. But there are worse things than no t showering, right? Actually I think my body is getting used to being dirty or maybe I just can’t smell myself anymore. Travel Tip: Be sure you can always smell yourself apart. And I’m not necessarily talking about the people; I’m talking about all the smells. For example on my way to the children’s center I smelt something awful. And then I saw it- a skinned pig being lifted out of the trunk of a car by two men and carried into the restaurant. There was another in the trunk that they were coming back for. They had it wrapped in blankets for sanitation purposes. It just goes to show that you never know what you will see or smell. For some reason, it makes me less worried about what I smell and look like.
“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I Thessalonians 5:18
